He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harold "Shorty" Ayers and Helen E. "Billie" Baker Ayers; his wife Mary Ann Davis Ayers; his daughter Michelle L. Ayers (Jason); and his siblings, Lyle L. Ayers, Martin Edward "Eddie" Ayers, Daniel C. Ayers, Mark W. Ayers, Trena L. Hardy, Tamma L. Porter and Nancy L. Wiseman.
He is survived by: his daughter Nicky Stemple (Jimmy) of Bridgeport; his siblings, Thomas K. Ayers (Kathy), Tonya L. LaBenne and Hope E. Hill (Brad); his grandchildren, MaLisa Mick (Braden), Ryan Ayers (Bubby), Ian Stemple and Evan Stemple; and his great grandchildren, Paxton Mick and Stevie Mick.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Harrison County, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston, WV 26431.
