It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Custer Longwell of Bridgeport, West Virginia, born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberta Senora Custer Longwell (Herbert Kenneth Longwell) and James William Glaspell; his sons, Kenneth Longwell and Wayne Lee Longwell; and also John Wilson.
He is survived by: his close friend Freda Gallo Wilson of Virginia; his children, James William Longwell of Coventry Township, OH, Charles A. Longwell, Bridgette of Point Pleasant, WV, Steven B. Longwell of Eva Beach, HI, Suzanne Sharpless, Michelle Doherty of Newton Falls, OH and Reva Holloran; his siblings, H. K. Longwell and Judy Sexton of Charleston, WV; his grandchildren, Jennifer Schoenauer (Josh), Samantha Kruse (Stefan), Ashley Spitler (Michael), Amanda McAlexander (Caleb), Whitney Parrish (Michael), Chelsea Longwell (Jerad), Aaron Longwell, Kenny Longwell (Dakota), Colby Longwell, Grant Sharpless (Ashley) and Hope Sharpless (Brad); his great grandchild Kelly R. Wilson; and also, Stephanie N. Bittinger, Carl Lee Gallo and Rosemaria Scolapio. He is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
