He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Calvin Stackhouse and Dorothy Luella Freeman Stackhouse; and his siblings, George Stackhouse, Kenneth Stackhouse, Nancy Bowers and Betty Atha.

He is survived by: his sister Sandra Taylor of Bridgeport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
