He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jennings Smith and Imogene Smith (Kiser) of Virginia; his brother Jay Smith; and his sister-in-law Deborah Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Smith (Thompson); his children, A. J. Ezersky (Corey) of Fishersville, VA and Steven "Aaron" Smith (Brittani) of Harrisonburg, VA; his brothers, Gary Smith of Franklin, WV and Greg Smith (Jackie) of Franklin, WV; his sister-in-law Diana Smith of Sugar Grove, WV; and his grandchildren, Cooper, Tucker, London Ezersky, Sadie and Easton Smith.
