He was predeceased by: his parent Goldie E. Lovejoy Smith; his brothers, Robert Smith and Gregory Smith (Buck); and his son Frank Manilla. He is survived by: his parent William F. Smith; his children, Iona Smith, Melissa Manilla, Betty Smith, William E. Smith Jr. and Joseph Smith "Joey"; and his siblings, Anita, Veleria, Hiram "Timmy", Jefferson and Peggy.
