He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gay Adkins; his children, Melissa Booton (Johnathan) of Wayne, WV and Brian Jarrell Adkins of King, NC; his siblings, Ruth Davis of Branchland, WV, Boyd Adkins of Branchland, WV, Kendall Adkins of Branchland, WV, Henley Adkins of Branchland, WV and Wendell Adkins of Huntington, WV; and his grandsons, Christopher Russell Stapleton and Joseph Robert Stapleton.
