With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Floyd Vance of Branchland, West Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Floyd had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Floyd may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Vance and Wavie Caldwell Vance. He is survived by: his wife Marva Mae Vance; his daughters, Tammy Ledford (Max) and Golda Brumfield (Randy); and his siblings, Nancy Marcum, Brenda Sue Tackett (Michael) and David Vance (Diane). He is also survived by six grandkids; 28 great grandkids; four great-great grandkids.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Upper Ten Mile United Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Warrick Cemetery.
