He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Calain and Estie Tingler Calain; his siblings, George Calain, Jr., John Marshall Calain, Walter Calain, Randy Calain, Donald Calain and Janet Baldassan; his daughter Shelly McWilliams; and his wife Sue "Suzie" Calain.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Mellott of Atlanta, GA, Tina Hall of Lascassas, TN, Robert McWilliams of Marion, OH and Richard Clark of Atlanta, GA; his sister Linda Vance (Bob) of Elkins; and his close friend Sue Harris. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
