He was predeceased by: his parents, Estel Lawson and Oretha James Lawson; his stepfather Wilton Gillenwalters; and his son Timothy Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie MacQuarrie Lawson; his children, Angel Gilletti (Adam) of Arizona, Tina Mikiewicz of Crab Orchard, Donald Lawson Jr. (Sandy) of Perkasie and Piper Lawson of Bolt; his foster children, Milly Chambers of Bolt and Hunter Gullett of Bolt; his sisters, Janice Wyatt of Lester and Debbie Yarber (Pat) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Tony, Nicole, Joshua, Krystie, Brandon, Trysta and Eylah; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Serenity, Joselyn and Penelope.
