He was predeceased by: his parent Milburn Jones; his daughters, Linda Sue Jones and Blinda Hamilton; and his brothers, Jimmy Jones Jr, Bobby Jones and James Willard Jones.

He is survived by: his parent Clara Patrick Jones; his children, Russell Jones of Bluewell and Karen Rutherford (Robert); his grandchildren, Joel Hicks (Angela) of Salem and William Hicks; his sister Shirley Bibey; his sister-in-law Sue Jones; and his son-in-law Wylie Hamilton of Princeton. He is also survived by 14 Great-Grandchildren and6 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
