It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Poynter (Bluewell, West Virginia), born in Maybeury, West Virginia, who passed away on April 11, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Hubert and Ruby Mae Crockett Ratcliffe; her son Terry Poynter; and her brothers, Charles Ray Ratcliffe, Donald H. Ratcliffe and Douglas Lee Ratcliffe.
She is survived by: her husband Walter F. Poynter; and her children, Kimberly Spangler (Tony) of Floyd, VA, Cyndi Hall (Steve) of Bluefield, WV, Thomas Robinson (Martha) of Princeton and Timothy Poynter (Julie) of Sandlick. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic, private cryptside services for the family will be conducted on Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. Jonathan Riggins officiating.
