He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Edward Gillenwater; his wife Helen "Nancy" Gillenwater; his son William "Gill" Gillenwater; and his siblings, Kenneth Gillenwater, Norma Cook, Macil Quillian and Dorothy Surface.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Browning (Steve) and Tina Goff (Derrick "JJ" Robinson); his daughter-in-law Becky Gillenwater; his grandchildren, Jill Ann Fitzwater (Derek), McKay Gillenwater, Hunter Browning (Bethany), Mallori Goff (Brandon), Alex Browning and Kelsi Ratcliff (Tanner); his great grandchildren, Emma Fitzwater and Sadie Mae Ratcliff; and his niece Leeta Quillian Collins.
