She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Brooks and Nora Jane Patton Brooks; her husband John Caldwell; her son Darrell Caldwell; and her siblings, Myrtle Brooks and Ray Brooks.
She is survived by: her sons, Duane (Margaret Caldwell) and Danny Caldwell of Washington, Pennsylvania; her daughter-in-law Nancy Caldwell Slade of Bluefield; her granddaughters, Monica, LeAnn (Grat Slade), Paige Caldwell (Sam Hutchison) and Melanie Caldwell of Bluefield; her great grandchildren, Addy, Macie, Zach, Zander Slade, Trey and Rowyn Crandall; her sister-in-law Sue Brooks; and her nieces and nephews, Ralph Grinstead, Byron Ray "Chuck" (Delores Brooks), Ronda (Robert Paynter), Janie Stayley Johnson and Tammy Sue Brooks Karnes. She is also survived by three great nephews; two great-great nephews and two great-great nieces.
