It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma S. Halsey of Bluefield, West Virginia, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edward and Mary Elizabeth Mills Shrewsbury; and her siblings, Latha Cooper, Nettie Chester, Pauline Archie, Roy Shrewsbury, Francis Shrewsbury and Albert Shrewsbury.
She is survived by: her husband Ivan; her daughters, Nancy H. Moore (Dwight Moore) of Bluefield, VA and Belenda Halsey-Bell (Hervie "Herb" Bell) of Charleston, WV; her grandchildren, Robert Moore (Karen Moore) of Crozet, VA, Valerie Mullins (Mike Mullins) of Clayton, NC and Andrew Bell of Columbus, OH; her great grandchildren, Ana Moore of Blacksburg, VA, Sarah Moore of Crozet, VA, Madison Mullins of Clayton and Bryce Mullins of Clayton, NC.; and her siblings, Clyde Shrewsbury of Fishersville, VA, Glen Shrewsbury (Brenda Shrewsbury) of Forest, VA, Ruth Fox (Kenneth) of Sophia, WV and Rubie Burcham of Berryville, VA..
