He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lewis Gilpin and Ruby Cleo Gillespie Gilpin; his daughter Tina Marie Gilpin Hunt; and his siblings, Diane Brown, Rosa Brown, Thomas Wayne Gilpin and Kathy Marie Gilpin.
He is survived by: his children, Toni Tibbs of Bluefield, WV, Teresa Lynn Gilpin of Green Valley, WV, Buddy Gilpin, II (Adriana) of Falls Mills, VA and Valery Marie Constantino; and his siblings, Darlene Eary of Salem, VA, Betty Akers of Fredericksburg, VA, Joyce Hale (Jerry) of Bluefield, VA, Jane Painter (Jimmy) of Bluefield, WV, Judy Cole (Doug) of Virginia Beach, VA, Larry Randell Gilpin of Bluefield, WV, Jimmy Ray Gilpin (Kathy) of Bluefield, WV and Jeff Gilpin (Reba) of Smyrna, TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
