She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter Tolbert and Mary Goldie Lawrence Tolbert; her husband Clifton Leon Burkett; and her siblings, Carl Franklin Tolbert, James Earl Tolbert, Ray Jackson Tolbert, Bobbie Lee Tolbert, Glenna Snyder, Verna Mae Fivars Combs and Benny Joe Tolbert.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel Allen Burkett (Joyce) of Bluefield, VA and Sharon Lynn Lawson (Michael) of Hebron, KY; her grandchildren, Anne Stahl (Andy), Chris Lawson (Heather), Laura Harding (Jeff), Greg Burkett (Kari) and Melissa Suralik (Todd); her great grandchildren, Colin Stahl (Amanda), Olivia Long (Nik), Liam Stahl, Emma Buskill (Andrew), Jack Lawson, Maya Lawson, Kate Woodhouse (Harding), Greta Burkett, Jake Burkett, Ryan Suralik and Allison Suralik; her great great grandchild Theodore Stahl; her nephews, Marty Fivars and Johnathan Combs; and her niece Sandy Stansbury (Gary).
