She is survived by: her husband Franklin "Gene" Akers; her daughters, Debby Wyrick (James) of Hurricane, WV, Pamela Slaughter (Jimmy) of Glenwood, WV and Kristi Mills (Keith) of Bluefield, WV; and her sister Ila Garrett of Princeton, WV. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
