He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosevelt Patterson and Louie Mae "Pinky" Anderson Patterson; and his brother Donald Patterson. He is survived by: his sons, Corey Patterson of Bluefield, Shannon Patterson of Bluefield and Jonathan Patterson of Bluefield; and his siblings, Mabel Benns (Jesse) of Nevada, Sylvia Jordon of Richmond, VA, Lillie Bryant (Carl) of Hickory, NC, Rosevelt Patterson, Jr. of Bluefield, James Edward Anderson of Bluefield and Mark Anderson of Bluefield. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
