He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stone Whitt and Blanch Augusta Steele Whitt; his brother Ray Steele Whitt; and his sister-in-law Judith Altizer Whitt. He is survived by: his wife Zela Roberts Whitt; his son William "Bill" Whitt; his niece Barbara Carlson; his sister-in-law Vera Roberts of Bluefield, W. V; and also, Jessica Whitt of Port St and Brian Carlson of Dallas, Texas.
