She was predeceased by: her parents, James William McFarland Sr. and Juanita Geraldine Lambert McFarland; and her brother James William McFarland, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband David Nester; her daughter Melissa Ann Proffitt; her stepchildren, Jacob Nester of Bluefield, VA, Cody Nester of Montcalm and Brittany Scott of Bluefield, VA; and her sisters, Jean McFarland Grubb (Michael) of Bluefield, VA, Sarah McFarland (Tony) of Johnson City, TN and Dolly Epperson of Bluefield, WV.. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
