He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McKinney and Etta Graham McKinney; his wife Marie McKinney; and his stepson George B. Hurt. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Nancye L. Dellinger of Christiansburg, VA, Janey "Sue" Furches (Gary) of Princeton, WV and Houston L. Hurt, Jr of West Liberty, KY; his son Brian; and also Phyllis Atkins.
