He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Dillon and Mable Harless Dillon; his wife Patty Sue Bennett Dillon; his children, Mable Bradley and Richard Lee Dillon, Jr.; his siblings, Judy Cassidy, Cora Shrader, Jean Lowery, Vada Szaller, Louise Lee, Katherine Bolden and Wade Dillon, Jr.; and his great grandchild Reece Mitchem.
He is survived by: his children, Wade Dillon of Bluefield, VA, Kathy Phillips (Craig), Mary Mitchem (Roy Mitchem) and Dorothy Duncan of Bluefield, WV; his children-in-law, Daniel Bradley of Bandy, VA. and Michelle Dillon of Bluefield, WV.; his adoptive son Clinton Dillon (Sarah); and his brothers, Raymond Dillon and Jack Dillon. He is also survived by 8 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Homes (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
