He was predeceased by: his mother Laura Jo Burr Hastings; and his son Robert Evan Hastings. He is survived by: his father Robert J. Hastings of Salem; his wife Donna Grogan Hastings; his sons, Richard "Chad" Hastings of Princeton and Michael Aaron Hastings (Shelena) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Spencer, Ridge and Lakelyn; and his close friends, Patricia, Penny, Mike and Anita.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Monte Vista Park Cemetery (3716 Maple Acres Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WVU Princeton Community Hospital Cancer Center.
