He is survived by: his mother Maxine Slade Bourne of Bluefield, WV; his sons, Richard Bourne, III and Nicholas Bourne of Bluefield, WV; his friend Jan Hendrick Meidinger of Taiwan; his aunt Gayla Slade of Chesapeake, VA; and his pet Layla. He is also survived by many cousins; and his dog.
