It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rages Lee Austin of Bluefield, West Virginia, who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hobert and Minnie Austin of Bluefield; his siblings, Buford, Ellen (Birchfield) and Janet (Branham); and his sons, Randall Lee and Lawrence Edward (Dorothy).
He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Wimmer; his daughter Barbara Jean (Deem); his daughters-in-law, LaDonna Austin and Joyce Austin; and his grandchildren, Kim Chapman, Ashley Merritt, Russell Austin and Tyler Deem. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, if you are so inclined, you are invited to contribute in Rages' honor to St. Jude's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital in Lexington, KY.
