She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Covey and Lizzie Covey; her husband Ward Jackson Roland; her siblings, Paul Covey, Edgar Taylor, Merlie Mitchell, Goldie Fincham and Thelma Norman; and her grandson Brian Roland.
She is survived by: her brothers, Alvey Covey (Shirley) of Colonial Beach, VA and Henry Covey (Marilyn) of Stoney Creek, VA.; and her children, Doneita Knight (Jim), Brenda Goforth, Carol Blankenship, Mary Brown, Darrell Roland (Patty) and Sherry Hager (Troy). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and twenty three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Church of Christ at Maple View, Bluefield, WV.
