It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Marie Morgan of Bluefield, West Virginia, who passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel E. Ward and Hallie L. Ward; her husband Judge Lawrence R. Morgan; and her siblings, Margaret L. Ward of Lakeland, Fla., Edward Ward of Iaeger, Robert Ward of Atlanta, Samuel Ward of Charleston, S. C., Jessie Herman Ward of Beaufort, S. C. and Virginia Dew of Whitesville.
She is survived by: her sons, Lawrence Morgan, Jr. of Lakeland, Fla. and Ward Morgan of Bluefield; her grandchildren, Edward Morgan of Charlottesville and Morgan Hunley of Cherokee, N. C.; and her niece Dixie O'Connor of Bluefield.
Given the restrictions of COVID-19, there will be only graveside services at the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:00 p. m. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
