She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lemons and Maryann Moten Lemons; her grandson J. D. DeWitt, Jr.; and her brother Johnny Lemons. She is survived by: her husband George H. Taxley, Jr. of Bluefield; her children, Lisa Taxley Brooks (Tony) of Bluefield, Terrence W. Taxley (Jennifer) of Bluefield and John A. "Buddy" Taxley (Tanganyika) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Aiesha Brown (Frederick), TJ Taxley of Louisville, KY, Jaalen Masterson of Bluefield, Cimone Davis of Charlotte, NC, Deja of Bluefield, Dominick of Bluefield, Josiah Taxley of Bluefield, Alyssa Crockett of Wytheville, VA, Stuart Crockett of Rogers, AK and Anntionette Brooks of Baltimore, MD; her great grandchildren, Luna Brooks, Joshua, Myles, Marek Brown, Micah, Kingston, Hendrix Masterson, Larell Brooks-Beverly and Amiyah Sellers; and her daughter-in-law Angela Taxley.
