He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lee and Lucinda Rose Roland; his wife Marjorie Ann Ruble Roland; and his siblings, Albert Roland, Edgar Roland, Jessee Rose, Marie Roland, Agnes Wimmer, Ruth Anderson, Lucy Allen and Lettie Neal.

He is survived by: his children, Kendra Brewster (Michael) of Rural Retreat, VA and Clayton Wayne Roland of Bluefield, WV; and his grandchildren, Kiara Brewster of Rural Retreat, VA, Summer Dorsett (Russell) of Wytheville, VA and Tyler Brewster of Rural Retreat, VA. He is also survived by feline fur baby.
