He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Lana Mitchell Hartzog; his children, Julie Hurley (Chip) and Mike Hartzog (Loree); his grandchildren, Hannah Hurley, Chandler Hurley (Jessie), Elyse, Olivia, Jacob, Audrey and Caleb Hartzog; his great grandchildren, Soren and Jax; and his siblings, Lauren Marcum, Jeff Hartzog (Gwen) and Sally Dixon.
