He is survived by: his wife Trivless Lynn Shrewsbury Short; his son Joe Aaron Short, Jr. of Bluefield; his stepsons, Emery Shrewsbury of Pinoak and Harold Shrewsbury (Connie) of Spanishburg; his granddaughters, Amanda Shrewsbury and Britani Shrewsbury; and his great grandchildren, Dalton Lester, Jailean Shrewsbury and Carlee Clower.
