He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Girly; his wife Ann; and his siblings, Hazel Deskins, Cecil Richardson, Midge Harmon, Maxine Cardwell and Bill Richardson.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Lynda Bodell Gentry (Hal) of Old Hickory, TN; and his children, R. Jack Richardson, Jr. (Debbie) of Jamestown, NC, Rusty Richardson (Kathy) of Lebanon, TN, David Richardson (Donna) of Pickens, SC and Julie Richardson Phillips (Richard) of Oak Ridge, NC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel (1231 W Cumberland Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
