She was predeceased by: her parents, Ade W. Helm and Judy Gracie McDaniel Helm; her son Timothy Helms; and her siblings, Ruby Saunders, Edith Reed, Bernice Wright, Beulah Petty, Virginia Helm, Freda Thomas, Omar Helm, Richard Helm and John.

She is survived by: her sons, Larry L. Helms and Philip I. Helms; her grandchildren, Larry L. Helms, Jr., Tasha D Parker and Simar Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Tashad, Tyler Parker, Landon and Kayden Helms. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
