He is survived by: his wife Mary Cadwell Porter of Bluefield; his children, Darrin Porter, George Porter, Jr., Courtney Porter and Crystal Porter; his stepchildren, Helen Kasey, Carol Mitchem and Allen Mitchem; and his brother Joseph Porter. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
