It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Floyd F. Ray Sr. (Bluefield, West Virginia), who passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Earnest W. Ray; his wife Joan G. Ray; and his siblings, Evelyn Ray Shipman, Doressa Christa Fox, Marilyn Mays and Bobby Ray, Sr..
He is survived by: his sons, Anthony "Shilaka" Long of Martinsville, VA, Elder Earnest D. Long of Martinsville, VA and Floyd F. Ray, Jr. (Tomeka) of Bluefield, WV; and his stepchildren, Venita Gazaway of Bluefield, WV, Georgina "Gigi" Singer (Robert) of Rock Hill, SC, Marshelie L. Gazaway Johnson (Pete) of Columbus, OH and Timothy Gazaway of Florida. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the CDC a face covering, and social distancing will be required.
