She was predeceased by: her parents, Broden James Swanson, Sr. and Gertrude Evelyn Baker Swanson; her former husband Alvin Emmanuel "Poochie" Gardner; her siblings, Ann Bedear Lindsay, Laquetta Gaye Swanson and William Thomas Swanson, II; and her sister-in-law Deborah Swanson.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Pannell of Bluefield; her children, Ashly Nikol Long of Princeton, Adam Emmanuel Fitzgerald Gardner (Dekota Kelley) of Princeton, Alvin Jesse of Bluefield, William Bakker "Pete" Gardner of Bluefield and Angel Noelle Gardner of Princeton; her stepchildren, Keionna Smith, Corey Pannell (Lindsey), Laura Pannell, Brittany Pannell, Lisa Pannell and Tamecka Wallace; her son-in-law Thomas Eugene Lowe; her grandchildren, Meliah Nikol Lowe, Marquel Jamir Lowe, K'Marie Icyss Gardner, Urijah Prynce Gardner, Jaciana Leigh Gardner, Anijah Faye Jennings, Naturi Brielle Jennings, Tyana Smith and Khalil Smith; her brothers, Gary Brent Swanson of Dacula, GA and Broden James "June" Swanson, Jr. of Newark, NJ; and her cousin John Parker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
