She is survived by: her children, Genevieve Dunford (Curtis) of Wytheville, VA, Deborah Compton (Mike) of Bluefield, WV, Beverly Walker (Brian) of Bluefield, WV, Teresa Dunford (Steven Hines) of Bluefield, WV, Orville Johnston (Carmen) of San Angelo, TX and Karen Payne (Dean Bird) of Princeton, WV; her grandchildren, Heather Samuels (Chris), Dustin Dunford, Lindsey Cline (Tyler), Krystal Ford (Mike), Cody Walker (Kim), Tiffany Erb (Tim), Daniel Walker, Brandon Dunford (Jennifer Haynes), Derek Dunford (Amber), Emalee Dunford (Patrick Myers), George N. Johnston, Geoffrey Johnston (Daisy), Amanda Brown (Jamie) and Kevin Payne (Autum); her great grandchildren, Joshua, Kyle, Ellison, Nolan, Boone, Brooklyn, Michael, Haleigh, Ryleigh, Noah, Mackenzie, Serenity, Maverick, Jack, Warren, Letty, Violet, Kaden and Jaycee; her siblings, John Barnette (Carolyn) of Bluefield, David Barnette (Georgia) of Green Valley, Margaret Hambrick of Michigan, Anderson Barnette (Yvonne) of Princeton, Danny Barnette of Princeton, Kim Tignor (Dale) of Princeton and Elizabeth Barnette (Karen Farley) of Princeton; and her pet Blue.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
