She was predeceased by: her parents, David Thomas Lowman, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Kahle Lowman; and her former husband Lemuel W. Boykin. She is survived by: her aunt Kathleen Peck; her children, Katherine, Rachel and David; her husband Charles B. Hale; her children, Charles Broderick Hale, Jr. (Lynn Diane) of Leland, NC and Mary Lew Thomas (Hunter Jr.) of Bluefield; her brother David Thomas Lowman, Jr. (Jean) of Chester, VA; her grandson Hunter Thomas, III (Jessica); and her great grandchild William Hunter Thomas, IV. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and step-granddaughters.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either First Presbyterian Church or to the Bluefield Union Mission.
