She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Wilson and Dorothy Lang Wilson; her husband Phillip Eugene Nelson, Sr.; and her siblings, Walter Wilson, George John Lang and Lois Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Grogan of Princeton, WV, Sharon McCoy (Barry Wayne) of Rocky Gap, VA and Phillip Nelson, Jr. (Tina) of Rocky Gap, VA; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah Adam Grogan (Victoria) of Princeton, WV, Ashlee Nichole Grogan of Princeton, WV, Justin Eugene Lee Nelson of Wytheville, VA, Anthony Nelson of Australia, Cody Nelson (Amber) of Rocky Gap, VA, Karmen Bowman (Daniel) of Rocky Gap, VA, Alexis Dice of Rocky Gap, VA and Krissy Dice of Wytheville, VA. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel (1231 W Cumberland Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
