She was predeceased by: her parents, Derrill Douthit and Isabelle Douthit; and her husband Donald C. Kensinger. She is survived by: her siblings, Alice Gray of Mechanicsville, VA, Cindy Thomas (Stewart) of Waynesboro, VA and Derrill Douthat Jr. (Linda); her sister-in-law Janice Heath (Rayford) of Summerfield, NC; her caregivers, Evelyn Davis of Bluefield, VA and Ashley Green of Bluefield, VA; her niece Karen Sarver of Carlisle, KY; her nephews, Justin Douthat of Bluefield, VA and Ryan Douthat of Midlothian, VA; and her pets, George, Lucy and Sandy.
Since a funeral service was not held for Don in 2020 due to COVID concerns services for Eleanor and Don will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Aug 4, 2022 with former pastor W. D. Hasty officiating.
