He is survived by: his close friends, Lou Bowen Kroll, L. P. and Virginia; his wife Martha Spangler Royall; his daughter Connie Akers (Bill) of Bluefield; his grandson Christopher Michael Akers (Hillary); his great grandchild Aniston of Bristol; his granddaughter Sarah Kathryn Akers of Alexandria; and also, Kay, Kenny Rice, Jeanne, Alan Hillman, John, Heather Royall, Susan, Randall Whittaker, Bill Shaner, Jennie and Colin Monette. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions if desired may be made to the First Christain Church or the Bluefield Union Mission.
