He was predeceased by: his brother Charles "Chuck" Carroll; his sisters-in-law, Linda Gail Proffitt and Libby Proffitt; and also, Brenda Proffitt and Tommy Roten.
He is survived by: his siblings, Walter Proffitt (Brenda) of Bluefield, Dennis Proffitt (Barbara) of Bluefield and Tommy Proffitt (Joyce) of Lerona; and also, Calvin Proffitt (Cathy) of Bluefield, Nathan Proffitt (Angela) of Princeton and Mercedes "Cissy" Lynn Shrader (Steve) of Bluefield. He is also survived by Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and other extended friends.
