She was predeceased by: her parents, McKinley Sluss and Lou Wimmer Sluss; her husband Howard B. Mitchelson; her son McKinley "Wayne" Mitchelson; and her grandson Adam Wayne Mitchelson.
She is survived by: her children, Howard Lee Mitchelson (Rhonda) of Princeton, Libby Pridemore (James) of Wytheville, VA and Joe Mitchelson (Mary) of Bluefield. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
