He was predeceased by: his parents, William Manuel Howard and Margie Collins Howard; his sisters, Fern Bell and Debbie Howard; his son Donald Howard Jr.; and his grandson Byron Ealy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Epperson, Jim Howard of Abbs Valley and Billy Howard of Bluefield.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Homes (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Grandview Memory Gardens (38659 Gov George C. Peery Hwy, Bluefield, VA 24605).
