She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Peavy, Sr. and Nadine Spencer Peavy; and her brothers, Leyden Peavy and Patrick Peavy. She is survived by: her husband Bernard G. Murphy of Bluefield; her children, Edward Howard Cox, Jr. (Jennifer) of Bluefield, Deshon Latricia Combs (John Combs, Jr.) of Columbus, OH and Dorian Cortez Cox (Michelle) of Bluefield; her grandchildren, Edward Cox, III of Bluefield, Jaida Combs of Columbus, OH, John Combs, III of Columbus, OH, Zara Jade Cox of Bluefield and Trenton Cortez Cox of Bluefield; and her siblings, Walter Peavy of Bluefield, Alfred Peavy, Jr. (Denise) of Greenville, SC, Lora Saunders (Bobby) of Bluefield, Randy Peavy of Bluefield, Ginger Trigg (Raymond) of Bluefield and Todd Peavy of Bluefield. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
