She was predeceased by: her former husband James Carter; her mother Roberta McGue; her husband Allen Woods; and her brother Timothy Sinkford. She is survived by: her daughter Tamara Allison (James) of Christiansburg, VA; her stepdaughters, Shenella Sanusi (Saheed) of Snellville, GA and Jasiri Carter of Newark, NJ; her grandchildren, Brianna Carter (Carlos) of Roanoke, VA, Amina Udonkang of Christiansburg, VA, Keleiah Valentine of Christiansburg, VA, Shadae'Valentine of Christiansburg, VA, Isaiah Valentine of Christiansburg, VA, Jathan Buchanan and Janiya Buchanan of Snellville, GA; her great grandchild Azai'Johnson of Roanoke, VA; and her siblings, Sylvia Marrs of Bluefield, WV, Jackie McGue of Bluefield, WV, Karen McGue of Bluefield, WV, Louis McGue of Bluefield, WV, Donnella Green of Baltimore, MD and Jerry Sinkford (Capaita) of Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the House of Prayers (214 Church St, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
