He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Everette and Juanita Crowder Mitchem; his wife Loretta Dunford Mitchem; his children, Rodney Lee Mitchem, WVand William Nolan Mitchem and Sherry Lynn Mitchem; his grandson Rodney Lee Mitchem, Jr. of Bluefield, WV; his brothers, Dale Mitchem, Ryland Fairly Mitchem and Ronald Mitchem; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Dunford (Debbie), Ward Riggs (Betty), Tommy Perdue (Janet), Sanford Kendrick (Aleen), Richard White (Shirley), Kenneth Minnix (Phyllis) and Freddie Dunford.
