It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Adkins of Bluefield, West Virginia, born in Ada, West Virginia, who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Adkins and Maggie Bowling Adkins; and his siblings, Hazel, Helen, Louis, James (Brownie), Elbert, Paul and Claude.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Adkins; his children, Carl H. Adkins, Jr. (Jeanne) of Salem, WV and Angela Kane (Patrick) of Ashburn, VA; and his grandchildren, Joshua of Salem, WV, Jacob, Rachel and Benjamin Kane of Ashburn, VA..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
