He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Watkins and Gillie Clark Watkins; and his former wife Lena Smith Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Browning Watkins; his children, Bunnie Eugene "Gene" Watkins Jr. (Sheila) and Alicia Gayle Watkins Brown (Robbie); his stepdaughters, Linda Johnson, Carol Browning Shrader (Jim) and Myra Browning Turner (Rock); his grandchildren, Jessica L. Watkins Huff, Megan E. Brown and Robert "Trey" Brown III; and his great grandchildren, Amber N. Huff and Thomas A. "Tripp" Welch III. He is also survived by 5 step Grandchildren, 10 step Great Grandchildren and 1 step Great Great grandchild.
