We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2023, at the age of 54, Brenda Gail Hammond (Bluefield, West Virginia), born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Frances Penland; her daughter Jessie Hammond; and her brother Charles Skidmore. She is survived by: her husband Joel Hammond; her children, Sarah (Joe Sult) and Ashley (Michael Rebuck II); her grandchildren, Rylan, Brady Sult, Michael Rebuck III, Madison and Molly Rebuck; her father Evert (Charlotte Skidmore); and her siblings, Linda (Joe Groves), Debbie Harmon, Lisa Lewis, Chris and Larry Skidmore. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bluefield Union Mission or the Mercer County Humane Society.
